MEET THE ALL-NEW 2020 HYUNDAI SONATA
The Sedan is New Again
The All-New 2020 Sonata is here! Hyundai has been making the Sonata since 1986 and it's evolved to be one of the most reliable and best selling mid-size sedans for Hyundai USA as well as Hyundai's longest-running nameplate.
Hyundai has done it again by redesigning the eight-generation Sonata with a lower profile, a wider stance and the aggressive curves and sharp lines of a 4-door coupe. The 2020 Sonata is being built in the U.S. facility in Alabama on Hyundai's all-new platform giving the Sonata its lower stance and wider wheelbase which will better absorb collision energies and prevent impact structures from entering the cabin. Inside you'll find a sleek, modern cabin, reminiscent of the outside styling, with premium detailing. And as expected, Hyundai's outfitted the all-new 2020 Sonata with the latest in state-of-the-art technology and safety.
The base model will be equipped with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine making 191 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque designed to deliver fuel economy. Hyundai's estimating a combined EPA figure of 33 mpg. Other models will house a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine making slightly less horsepower @180, but great torque @195 lb-ft that gives the driver low-end torque at the expense of only one or two mpg. Both engines are coupled with an 8-speed automatic with multiple drive modes for better stability in inclement weather.
Personal comfort. Personalized convenience. Peace of Mind.
We don't have all the model trim details just yet, but we'll update you as soon as we do! One thing we know for sure; it will come with America's Best Warranty a 10-year/100,000 mile Limited Powertrain Warranty, Connected Care, 24/7 Roadside Assistance, and Car Care giving you free multi-point inspections by certified factory-trained technicians anytime! If you're considering a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord, you won't want to leave the All-New 2020 Hyundai Sonata out of the mix!
Car And Driver said "With a beautiful design and unheard-of levels of content, Hyundai is swinging for the fences with the eighth-generation Sonata." and "Every detail and angle is dripping with artistry: See the extremely low hood, the shapely roofline that's 1.2 inches lower than before, and the significant depth found in the body sides."
MOTORTREND said "The interior is one of the Sonata's strongest points. Just like its exterior design, the interior feels upscale for a non-luxury car, and the cabin is spacious even for tall passengers."
