At Hyundai of Greeley we take pride in working with a manufacturer that not only builds great vehicles, but is investing in the growth and stability of the American economy. Hyundai's commitment to the our greater community gives us something to be extremely proud of; from the newly built manufacturing facility in Montgomery Alabama to the Hope on Wheels program, Hyundai is more than just a great manufacturer, they're a great partner!
Designed in California. Built in Alabama. Made in America.
"Made in America" is something Hyundai is passionate about. It's a belief reflected in their manufacturing facility in Alabama, engineering center in Michigan, plus design, research, and testing grounds in California. In Montgomery, Alabama, the $1.7-billion state-of-the-art plant employs 3,000 team members and produces up to 400,000 cars annually. Hyundai recently announced a $388-million addition to an engine plant that sits adjacent to the assembly plant where Sonatas, Elantras and Santa Fes roll off the line.
Hyundai Creates jobs.
Hyundai may be a Korean company, but nearly half of the vehicles sold in the U.S. are built in the US. Hyundai has created a lot of things to be proud of at our American facilities but chief among them is jobs.
Today, U.S. operations and dealerships support nearly 100,000 jobs and contribute over $7 billion to the national economy. Hyundai is a big part of the more than $75 billion invested in the U.S. by international automakers that employ 130,000 Americans at nearly 500 facilities.
In 2017 Hyundai announced an investment of $3.1 billion in the United States over the next five years, which will be used for R&D and to upgrade the production facilities. That brings Hyundai Motor Group's total investment in the U.S. to $10 billion.
