A Little Car Humor
I chose the Road Less Traveled………Now where the heck Am I??
Who Drives a Hyundai? Meet Serena S.
A terrible head-on collision totaled their Telluride in Fort Collins which brought Serena and her husband to our dealership the 2nd week of November. Her husband was injured but is recovering. While Serena’s family has owned several types of Hyundai’s over the years, they had purchased a Telluride “after a lot of research” last year for travel and a growing family. They loved the Telluride and intended to buy another one. But a friend of Serena’s told her before you do that, go take a look at the new Hyundai Palisade, it’s in the same class and is amazing.
Serena told him “no way am I going to like it better than the Telluride, I did my research!” Serena went reluctantly with him to our dealership and she test drove the 2020 Palisade. “I was shocked, I loved it, I thought I did all my research!” “My friend was right, it’s amazing, so many features and for a better price.” Serena has the first Palisade in her Windsor neighborhood. “I notice heads turning when I drive it around and people stop to ask me about it all the time!” I will always look at a Hyundai 1st!
Alex's Service Tip!
Make sure your vehicle has the proper coolant mix in the engine to prevent issues during the cold winter months! Different coolants are mixed to different temperature specifications, and depending where your vehicle was purchased it may not be rated for the climate you live in. Have your coolant tested by a technician to see if you need to flush it out and install a different mix to keep your vehicle in tip top shape and prevent engine troubles. Testing coolant only takes a few minutes, so be sure to ask your advisor about it next time you have a service appointment!

Happy Thanksgiving Hyundai Customers!
.
We are thankful for all of our great customers!
Hyundai of Greeley is fortunate to attract some of the most friendly and personable customers from all over Northern Colorado and the United States!
While we regularly work with people in Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, and the Denver metro, we also get the opportunity to work with people one might not expect. We have customers contract us from other states, and even Canada, who plan vacations and purchase/lease our Hyundai’s for their trips out west. We pick them up at DIA, have all their paperwork prepared so it’s ready to sign, give them our “Hyundai of Greeley delivery”, explaining all the bells and whistles, and away they go! We just love meeting people from all over the country!
The last week of October we had a gentleman from Rhode Island who purchased a beautiful Harley Davidson motorcycle we received as a trade in. He liked the price and the unique color. He flew in, we picked him up at DIA , he purchased the bike and away he went on his Harley back to Rhode Island, what a cool guy he was!
We so enjoy the variety of customers we see at our dealership and helping them with their automotive needs. Thank you all so much, and may you all have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

Who Drives a Hyundai? Meet Linda J.
Linda, a retired Greeley teacher, drives a leased Hyundai IONIQ. She and her husband, Noel, moved from Ohio after they graduated from Bowling Green University. They have been involved in music and the arts for most of their lives. They have been members and performers in the Greeley Musical Corral, Greeley Stampede Troup, and the Greeley Philharmonic to name a few.
Linda has a fun story about how she became a Hyundai owner. The Honda she owned broke down at a mall and she was having it towed to Greeley. There was a mix up and it was towed to our Hyundai dealership. When she came to straighten out the mix up, she noticed a grey car in front of the store. Linda says “it was love at first sight”. It was a grey Elantra which she purchased and called “Little Grey”! They have driven Hyundai’s ever since. Currently Linda drives the Ioniq and her husband, Noel, a Santa Fe.
Linda went on to tell us she gave her son “Little Grey. Sadly, he was in devastating accident in which he hit a telephone pole, careened down a ravine and into a house! Even with the magnitude of the accident the Elantra held up with her son enclosed in what Linda describes as “a capsule of safety”. The front seat structure and the air bags surrounded him on all sides. He survived with only a few injures; “he was saved because of that car” Linda believes and says “only Hyundai’s for us”.

Alex's Service Tip
This winter make sure your coolant is properly set up for winter temperatures! The antifreeze we use in new vehicles has the option to be mixed differently for a different temperature range depending on where you live and operate your vehicle – higher temps for warmer climates, and lower temps for colder climates. It is important to make sure you have the correct mix in your motor to ensure it won’t freeze and cause engine damage, and will allow your vehicle to run better with these frigid temperatures! We test your coolant at no charge any time you request it, and can recommend the right mixture for your engine to keep you focused on the road this winter!

Hyundai of Greeley has had a great September! We have met some awesome new customers to welcome to our Hyundai family! The 2019 Tucson’s have been the big seller for all types of buyers! And the Kona’s have been going strong as always.
Hyundai just introduced 2020 Palisade and we began delivery of the new SUV in August and it has been a BIG hit! It continues to exceed all sales projections nationwide!!
We sold our first shipment in one week; in fact, all of our September shipments have been sold! We will be getting our fourth shipment the first week of October! We have even had customers holding upcoming vehicles with down payments site unseen!
We realize many of you are a little frustrated with the availability of the Palisade; to be honest, we are too! It’s because it’s selling much faster than anticipated. And that means our customers LOVE this new vehicle! The inventory issue is a nation-wide problem, but the good news is we are getting “Hyper White” Palisades in October, one of the most requested colors.
Hyundai Motor America identified and responded to consumer desire for an SUV that provides both luxury and affordability. The Palisade’s popularity has demonstrated the need for such a vehicle and Hyundai has increased its production of the Palisade model to meet the demand in the coming months.

Who Buys a Hyundai? Meet Beth E. & Jannie Holloway
Beth E. and Jannie Holloway were in our customer lounge this week discussing their Hyundai vehicles. These ladies found they had a lot in common and were so delightful to talk with we had to share them with you for our October newsletter!
Beth and her family reside in Greeley where she is a substitute teacher. Beth loves teaching elementary age kids and has two children of her own. Beth graduated from UNC with a degree in Sociology. Beth’s degree in Sociology has helped her address the social and psychological needs of children in today’s culture.
Beth and her husband, who works in law enforcement, did a lot of research before they decided on a vehicle. They wanted a car with an industry leading warranty, reliability and an affordable price which lead them to choose a Hyundai Elantra. Beth has been very happy with her Elantra and will look at a Hyundai SUV when her children get older. Beth also shared. “I have never experienced a service department as good as yours or as customer oriented as Hyundai of Greeley’s”! She feels our service department takes awesome care of her and really values her business.
Jannie is originally from New Jersey, she came to Colorado to attend UNC where she earned a degree in Psychology/Sociology. She and her husband, who is from Fort Morgan, both work in law enforcement. Jannie and her husband have owned Hyundai vehicles for about 15 years. They have owned various Hyundai models and currently have a Sonata Hybrid. Jannie believes Hyundai gives a lot of value for the money, which is the primary reason they have purchase Hyundai’s over the years.
Jannie and Beth both talked about how much they like how quiet their Hyundai’s are and shared a laugh about how sometimes they don’t know if their car is on!
Thank you Jannie and Beth, you were wonderful to talk with and we so appreciate you!

Meet our Staff: Marcus Zeigler, General Manager
Marcus hales from Savannah, Georgia. He left the land of peaches and azaleas to attend Valparaiso University where he earned a degree in business management. Marcus moved to New York City to take a position with a sports agent company working with elite athletes. One of the most interesting athletes he worked with was Terrel Davis! Marcus has been a Bronco fan ever since.
While Marcus found the world of sports management exciting, it was also very intense and did not offer him as much direct customer contract he would have liked. Marcus has always loved interacting with people, particularly in sales. Solving customer financial problems has been the most satisfying aspect of his career. An opportunity to combine his interests lured him into the automotive field as a general manager in his home town of Savannah Georgia where he met his wife, Emily. A few years later a general manager position with the Hyundai America Corp brought him to Colorado and closer to his wife’s family.
Marcus’s southern-gentleman personality is always apparent when he interacts with customers. We are sure his style is why so many former customers stop in every day just to say hello and consult with him about auto issues. Marcus is very active in various children’s charities and health disorders that affect children’s development, in particular the Dravet Syndrome Foundation.
Who Buys a Hyundai? Meet Paulina S.
Pauline is originally from Australia. She came to the U.S. almost 30 years ago after she married a U.S. military officer serving in Vietnam. They settled in California where Pauline became a U.S. citizen, but she still retains her lovely Australian accent. Pauline and her husband moved to Fort Collins when their son’s job transferred him to Colorado.
Pauline leases her autos because she feels more comfortable with a new auto every few years. Until this summer she had done business with another local Hyundai dealership. She brought a friend, visiting from Australia, to her dealership because her friend was interested in buying an Elantra when she returned to Australia.
Pauline felt she and her friend were treated very poorly when the sales person found out they weren’t buying. She found the negative sales attitude, along with the lack of continuity in the service department, enough to make her not want to return.
Her son, a Genesis owner, recommended she try Hyundai of Greeley. Pauline said, “I couldn’t believe the care and attention I had received from Hyundai of Greeley. Every time I came in they recognize me, and they always have the same guys to work with, I feel we have a relationship.” Pauline shared that while she was waiting in service this last time, Russ, one of the service managers, mentioned the $50.00 gift card offer from Hyundai for taking a test drive. Pauline decided she would try a new Tucson. “I had no intention of buying a new car, but I loved the Tucson and was treated so respectfully with no sales push. My sales person was so knowledgeable and seemed to actually have fun showing me all the great features on the Tucson so I decided to trade up from my Sonata! I can’t believe how different this dealership is; everyone is so friendly and seems to enjoy their work. It is so worth the drive from Fort Collins!”
Alex's Service Tip of the Month!:
Are your tires telling you something? Inspecting your tires routinely can save you money and headache in the long run. Tire wear can tell you a lot about if your vehicle suspension is in spec, if your alignment is still in spec, if your tires need to be rotated, and if they need to be inflated or even deflated! Tires tend to wear in specific patterns in relation to a vehicle malfunction, and can be avoided by yearly alignments and rotating your tires on schedule. Keeping proper air pressure in your tires as well will ensure a nice even wear on your tires throughout the life, and we here at Hyundai of Greeley can help advise you when to rotate and inflate the tires properly to get the maximum amount of mileage out of each set of tires you may ride on!
August Newsletter
Greetings Hyundai Friends!
We are more than half way through summer! How can this be? Reluctantly, we all are thinking about fitting in our summer plans before the season ends like those final big family barbecues, sports activities, pool days, and of course the start of school!
Whether it’s grade school, high school or college; parents, students and teachers are all counting the days they have left before the start of the biggest planning task of the season. Schools seem to be starting earlier every year, (just ask a grade schooler), mid-August for many!
While we might be planning the last of our summer activities, our teaching community is already anticipating their school-wide planning and back-to-school orientation days. While we often think teachers have the summer off, they are actually spending a large part of their summer learning new educational technologies, taking certification classes as well as reviewing and updating their curriculums. Many of our teachers also work summer jobs and, yes, trying to fit in a family vacation as well.
We at Hyundai of Greeley recognize the important and powerful role the teaching community has in developing, mentoring, and educating our future citizens. Besides parents, teachers have the biggest influence on our society of learners of all ages. It is vital and often a stressful task managing the energy and learning process of 40 or more minds!
Hyundai of Greeley wants to honor the important role the teaching community has in our society!

How Much Is My Car Worth?
Customers often call us wanting to get a “ballpark” figure of how much their vehicle is currently worth. They are sometimes surprised when we tell them we can’t accurately give them “a phone value” on a vehicle by just knowing its year, make, model and mileage. Any reputable dealer should inform a customer this would not be fair to the customer or the dealership. Stating a ballpark figure without viewing the vehicle, test driving it, and looking at current market value and other available information on a trade is just not an ethical business practice. People often forget there is usually another person at the other end of that transaction looking to purchase that same vehicle with the expectation of getting a fair price on a vehicle that has been inspected and is ready for sale.
A reputable dealership considers many factors in assessing the value of your trade in besides the make, model and year. The condition of the trade influences the value as well as the cost of detailing, needed repairs and still making a fair profit for the dealership. Hyundai of Greeley works with customers to maximize the value of their trade in by taking the time to consider all factors.
In this issue, and over the next couple of issues, we will cover some of the many factors that go into your trade in appraisal.

Tanner comes from Bueno Vista Colorado. He lived under Mt. Princeton where he spent his time hiking, skiing, or rock climbing every day. He misses “his mountain” a lot but school and job opportunities brought him to Colorado Springs where he attended college at Pikes Peak Community College to study Criminal Justice/Psychology. He plans to finish his degree at UNC with a goal of working for the DEA.
Tanner has always been interested in sporty cars. He completely rebuilt a Subaru BRZ in to a race car while he was a student at PPCC. This knowledge made Tanner a great fit for our parts department. We are thrilled to have him on our team!

Service Tip of the Month! Alex Bustos, Service Manager
This month I would like to stress the importance of changing your vehicle’s oil on time and with the correct parts! As we rely on our vehicles to get us to our destinations in one piece, our vehicles also rely on us to properly maintain them to keep them running as designed. The single most important service any technician or service advisor can recommend is an oil change with an OEM Oil filter from the manufacturer, and quality oil at the recommended interval for your climate. Using manufacturer made filters will save time and money in the long run, as they are built to the proper specifications of the engine they are paired with in your vehicle.
Any time your engine is running, your oil is being heated up from friction and pumped through many lines and ports inside of the engine to provide proper lubrication to all of the moving parts inside your engine. Over time, the oil quality begins to break down from this friction; it can take on a dark color and get thin – thus not lubricating your vehicle’s internal parts. Over time this oil being thin can begin to turn into a solid we call “sludge,” which looks like it sounds. The oil will bunch up and can start causing numerous issues, from clogged lines and ports to plugged valves, the vehicle can begin to burn the oil that is not turned into sludge, and can cause gasket failure in the future. All of these things can turn into costly repairs if the standard maintenance is not kept up on, possibly causing catastrophic failure of your engine in the worst case scenario. Using quality oil and the correct filter from your manufacturer will ensure your engine gets proper lubrication to all moving parts, ensure the internal parts of your engine stay clean and free of debris/sludge, and keep your vehicle running well beyond your expectations so you can focus on enjoying road trips, or stay worry free on your commute.

HAPPY SUMMER HYUNDAI FRIENDS!
We hope you’re enjoying your summer activities and travels! All of us at Hyundai of Greeley are wishing our customers safe and fun travels on their summer outings. We hope our safety tips over the last couple of months have helped you get prepared for your journeys.
The goal of our newsletter is to provide our customers with automotive safety knowledge and ownership tips that will enhance your satisfaction and confidence with auto ownership. Customer satisfaction and safety is certainly our focus at Hyundai of Greeley and the Hyundai vehicles and its quality warranty make that a reality!
Focus On The Santa Fe
JD Power has listed the Hyundai Santa Fe as one of the most reliable and economical family SUVs and the Best 3-row SUV for the Money! Our Hyundai of Greeley Santa Fe customers will attest to the reliability of their Santa Fe’s! Our Santa Fe customers often tell us they get more than 30 miles to the gallon on Highway drive. And for a mid-sized SUV, that’s something!
U.S. News & World Report ranked the 2019 Santa Fe #5 among Midsize SUV’s. They also rated the Santa Fe’s safety at a 9.4 on their 10-point scale! When they compared Santa Fe to the competition, such as the Honda CRV, the Hyundai Santa Fe edged out the Honda in reliability, warranty with more standard safety and tech features.
June 2019 Consumer Reports has listed the Hyundai Santa Fe has “A sensible choice” for SUV customers. They noted its interior space, good visibility, and easy controls as some of the comfortable features for drivers. They also stated the “Comprehensive suite of safety systems and competitive price may seal the deal” for many buyers!
Kelly Blue Book in its review stated, “You’ll like this Car… Your family’s space, safety, and security should not come at the expense of an enjoyable drive”. Hyundai of Greeley is proud of the fact that the Santa Fe, as well as the other Hyundai models, has 15 standard safety features plus an additional 5 safety features based the model you chose. Hyundai of Greeley has had a run on Santa Fe’s this summer. We aren’t surprised as the news tells us that more people are opting for summer vacation car trips than ever before. The cost and discomfort of flying has most of us reconsidering our travel options. And being able to bring all your Stuff with easy access to it is a nice added bonus. If you and your family are considering a road trip or just want peace of mind when driving on crazy Colorado highways; the Hyundai Santa Fe is the vehicle for you!
While you’re planning that trip, we have a yummy tip for your travels from our Hyundai Sales Staff! It’s an easy and healthy travel recipe for when you all get the munchies:

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and divided into small zip lock bags, now munch away when the mood hits you!
How Much is MY Trade Worth? Cont'd
In June we focused on the effect your vehicle’s interior condition has on its value. Let’s consider some other factors affecting its value.
Exterior Factors:
Every vehicle gets them, but when it comes to appraising the value of your trade they matter. After all, the exterior is the first thing we all notice, right?
Appraisers typically grade vehicles as excellent, good, fair, or poor condition. Most are rated fair condition, and those rated excellent have not been driven much or have spent most of their lives in a garage. Of course, the more miles the more likely there is exterior damage.
Hyundai of Greeley recommends if are you are planning to eventually trade your vehicle in, consider doing it while it is in good condition to get a higher value. Fixing dings and dents can also add value to your vehicle along with removing decals and bumper stickers. We offer a free appraisal on your vehicle and will provide suggestions on what you can do to add value immediately.
Another factor affecting your trade-in value is body style/color. This may come as a surprise but an unusual color or off beat customization can mean lower resale value. Uncommon colors often cost more to repair and the average buyer doesn't usually want to drive down the road in Barney purple! Personalizing a vehicle with $5000 of tricked out accessories doesn't add value to anyone but you, so better to accessorize with items used often in Northern Colorado like bike racks, roof racks and tinted windows.
Mechanical Condition Factors:
Regular mechanical maintenance increases resale value. Keeping your car in good running shape with recommended scheduled service and updates, as well as records of all your service will add to its trade-in value. So keep all your maintenance records or make sure your service department keeps good records too. Hyundai of Greeley’s service department keeps physical and electronic copies which are reviewed with our customers when milestone manufacturer’s maintenance is due. Buyers usually ask about the service records when purchasing. And don’t forget to keep up with any recalls due. You can find those on hyundaiofgreeley.com/schedule service.
Of course, let’s not forget the impact of a vehicle’s accident report. An Auto-Check report will often list the type of damage; structural damage affects your vehicle’s resale value more than a little fender bender.
Repair Costs:
Well this may seem obvious but let’s take a closer look. Dings, chips, dents, paint oxidation, scratches and cracks in casings are part of the challenges of ownership. The cost of repairs is a factor most buyers consider when purchasing used. Costly repairs on some car brands affect the resale value and are part of the appraisal process. All models of the Hyundai brand have lower-than-average repair costs compared to other auto brands. Hyundai of Greeley frequently gets trade ins of more exotic autos for that reason. And while that adds interest in our lot, we usually take these repair-drain vehicles to auction rather than sell them to customer.
In our August issue we'll cover the influence of features, market demand, reliability/dependability ratings and the pros and cons of selling your vehicle on your own.

Who Drives a Hyundai? Meet Robert S.
Robert is an over-the-road truck driver of 30 years. He has driven all over the country in 18 wheelers, and triple trailers through Colorado and Kansas. He has dealt with all kinds of road experiences from snowstorms in the Rockies to 10 lanes of traffic in California. Robert is an experienced mechanic and can talk about all makes and models of cars in detail!
Robert purchased a Hyundai Sonata in 2004. He drove a number of different models of cars before he chose a Hyundai. The Sonata now has over 170,000 miles, runs great and he and his wife love it.
They purchased a 2018 Tucson which they have taken to California several times. The Tucson was getting 28-29 miles per gallon. Robert decided, on a whim, to try premium gas on their last trip. To his amazement his Tucson got over 33 miles to the gallon! “I had to check it twice to make sure I was correct! It was like it had a new pair of lungs” Robert says he chose Hyundai of Greeley because “They took the time to get to know me and listen to my experience”.
Robert also says, “You can never beat the reliability of a Hyundai; in all my years of driving I’ve never seen one broken down of the side on the road!”
Alex’s Service Tips of the Month!
This summer, many of our service customers may be traveling through windy roads and steep grades getting to their destination. On these intense roads vehicles often require a lot of braking to maintain traffic speed and stay in control to avoid road debris. These conditions can be hard on your braking system. Each time you depress the brake pedal the rotors on the vehicle are getting hot from the friction of your vehicle traveling at higher speeds. Suddenly needing to hit the brakes to slow the vehicle down and the added factor of wind pulling your vehicle can cause the front rotors to warp. This also causes the steering wheel to shake while you are braking. If this happens to you, we recommend getting the front brakes inspected ASAP to determine if the rotors are warped or damaged. Sometimes the rotors can be machined and saved if you catch it early.
Rotor costs vary depending on what you drive. What might seem like a minor repair has the potential to cost hundreds of dollars. To prevent this type of damage we recommend using your sport shift mode to stay in a lower gear on steep grades, braking less and use the resistance of the motor to slow down the vehicle. This will take a HUGE amount of strain off of your braking system, and save you money and headache in the future.

Greetings Hyundai Friends!
We hope you all are safe and well to enjoy the summer; which seemed to take forever to get here this year! Yikes!
The safety of its customers is a cornerstone of Hyundai Motor America. Developing new and innovative safety features is a major consideration when designing new or redesigned Hyundai models. Hyundai is continually seeking the input from various sources who provide and support the safety, welfare and care of all of us! The First Responders in our communities are the front lines of providing these services.
Hyundai is recognizing the contributions of first Responders by introducing the All New First Responders Program! Beginning May 1, 2019 all active first Responders (Police, Firefighters, EMT/Paramedics and 911 Dispatchers) are eligible for $500 off the purchase of any eligible Hyundai or Genesis vehicle. For First Responders who are also an active or former military veteran, this would mean a $1000 off purchase price!
First Responders Training Week was held in Greeley on May 20th – May 25th. Hyundai of Greeley honored our local First Responders by delivering pastries to all of the 1st responder units in our communities. We appreciate all they do for us and hope we gave them a “Sweet” beginning to their training!
WOW! Hyundai does it again winning 11 2019 IIHS Top Safety Pick Awards!
The 2018 Accent, Elantra, Elantra GT, Ioniq, Sonata, Kona, Tucson, Hyundai Santa Fe, Santa Fe Sport, and Genesis G80 all received top safety awards.
The 2019 Accent, Elantra, Elantra GT, Ioniq, Sonata, Veloster, Tucson, Kona, Santa Fe & Santa Fe XL all received top safety awards this year.
IIHS identified over 30 individual Hyundai safety features in these vehicles that received a minimum of a good rating with the majority receiving a “Superior” rating.
Hyundai of Greeley customers involved in highway accidents have long shared with us they believe their Hyundai saved their lives. Our Elantra commuter customers have been especially vocal about the safety of their vehicles when they come in to purchase a new Elantra after an accident.
This summer, please be extra careful on I25 with construction and volume of traffic!

Hyundai of Greeley works with customers to maximize the value of their trade in by taking the time to consider all factors.
In this issue, and over the next couple of issues, we will cover some of the many factors that go into your trade in appraisal.
Let’s start with the interior of your trade in.
Customers do not always appreciate the significance of the auto’s interior in the trade value of their vehicle. An impression of the vehicle occurs the minute we enter; we are naturally drawn to the smell of an auto’s interior. Does the auto have smoke or other bad odors? This we know is a turn off for many used auto buyers. We all love the smell of a new auto but a funky smell in a used auto can turn us off from the finer features!
You would be surprised how many people bring their car in for trade and it has not been cleaned in years or it has trash covering the back seat. A cheeseburger from 1910 under the seat gives the impression the car has not been well cared for. Are there holes, rips or stains in the seats or other interior damage? It’s never a bad idea to have those fixed prior to having your vehicle evaluated if possible.
Lastly, while Fido is an important member of the family, pet hair is difficult to remove from the interior's carpet. Even the condition of the trunk from hauling garden supplies or paint and other items are factors people often don't consider in assessment of their auto…so clean it up a bit before you bring it to a dealer to put your best foot forward!
How does mileage affect your trade-in's value?
How does mileage affect its value?
As the mileage of your vehicle ticks up, so does its “wear and tear” factor. Fewer miles usually means higher resale value. The resale value of your vehicle will drop significantly once the mileage limit on your vehicle’s warranty is reached. New cars are less prone to mileage-related engine or component failure, but the mileage on the odometer will still impact the resale price of a newer vehicle.
To get the most for your trade in we recommend you visit us for a complementary pre-appraisal consultation/inspection to give you an idea where you are with your trade in value. No pressure, no charge!
Next month we’ll discuss how exterior factors and mechanical issues affect the value of your trade in.

Who Buys a Hyundai?
Meet Pam Mullen: A great Hyundai story!
Pam and her husband are originally from Dallas, Texas. Pam’s husband was a career naval officer in San Diego and Pam owned a medical transcription service. After retirement they moved to Johnstown, Colorado when her husband took a position with the Department of Energy.
A friend in California owned a Hyundai Sonata which Pam loved. She purchased a used Sonata after moving to Colorado from a non-Hyundai dealership. Pam loved the Sonata but was not happy with the attitude or service she received. She came to our dealership where she says she could not believe the difference in customer service.
“I just love Alex the service manager and the whole department has been so easy to
work with and they look out for my interests. I have referred many of my friends
to get their service done at the Hyundai of Greeley even if they don’t own a Hyundai.
Even my husband takes his Ford truck to Hyundai for servicing.”
Pam purchased a 2018 Hyundai Accent but when she saw the new Hyundai Kona on the road one day, she said “I just loved it and had to have it”. When she came in to purchase a red Kona with a black roof which was the last one like it on the lot, another customer was considering “her Kona”. Pam said she was on pins and needles waiting to see what they would do and they purchased it!
After consultation with Scott Adler, her sales consultant, Pam decided to purchase a Sunset Orange and put a black wrap on the roof. She was delighted with results, “I actually found I like the Sunset Orange better, and the roof wrap looked amazing! This is what I love about this dealership, they listen and try to make customers request happen!”
Thank you, Pam, for choosing Hyundai of Greeley! We appreciate you too!
Staff Profiles: Meet Russ Atkins, Service Advisor
Russ is originally from St. Louis, Missouri. A great career opportunity for his wife brought them both to Colorado two years ago. They are both fitness buffs who love sports and the outdoors. Having been in sales and customer service since he was 18 years old, Russ considers himself a seasoned professional.
He believes success in his position is achieved by listening to the customer, understanding their concerns and most of all treating them with respect while addressing their needs.
What Russ likes the most about his job at Hyundai of Greeley is the opportunity to help people solve problems. “What is going on with my car?” is an exciting question for Russ “The process of finding the answer and helping my customers makes day!” Russ’s approach is part of the reason our service department has been rated #1 in customer satisfaction three years and running.
What are Customers saying about our Staff?
“I happily posted my review on Google and Yelp, but I want to reiterate that working with Josh went above all my expectations. I made the drive from Aurora to Greeley just for the chance to test drive a 2016 Santa Fe Sport that you had on your lot. When I arrived, Josh had it parked right up front waiting for me. During my test drive, Josh had an answer for every question I threw at him and if he didn't know, he immediately found out for me. Josh, thank you very much for everything and I love my new car!”
Sincerely,
Brandon Bushnell

Alex’s Service Tip of the Month! Hyundai Service Manager
This month I want to notify our customers the phone calls and post cards some of you have been receiving indicating your warranty is about to expire! These notices seem to be going to new customers that purchased a new vehicle With Hyundai’s famous 10-year-100,000-mile warranty.

Who Buys a Hyundai? Meet Kendal R.
Kendal is a young professional working for Banner Health. She purchased a used 2014 Santa Fe soon after graduating from college.
She drove a 2000 BMW through her college years. It was a hand down from her parents. It got her through college, but the maintenance problems were always too expensive for her. She was anxious to get a new car that was more reliable as she started her career.
She chose a Hyundai because a friend told her about the great deal and treatment she received at Hyundai of Greeley. She looked at several models and chose the Santa Fe sport because of its sunroof, sporty look and safety features at a price she could afford. Kendal appreciates the blind spot indicator, back up camera and the 3 shift modes. Kendal fondly calls her Hyundai “Fe” and will often say, “Fe and I are going to Denver” or “Fe and I drove through a bad rain storm”. She even has her family and friends calling her car “Fe”
She recently came in to test drive a 2019 Santa Fe which she loved. is planning a purchase once she recovers from the expensive of her recent Wedding. Kendal is a planner and wants to purchase a bigger, newer Santa Fe before she has a family, (she is starting with a new puppy). 😊
We welcome Kendal to the ranks of repeat customers and look forward to helping her with her new purchase plan!

CAR TIP OF THE MONTH!
What makes replacing the crush washer important?
This month I want to stress the importance of replacing the Crush Washer on your drain plug during your oil changes. When draining your oil, the drain plug bolt is removed which lets the oil drain from your engine. When we reinstall that drain plug bolt to the vehicle, we always replace the soft aluminum crush washer that sits between the drain plug bolt and oil pan to ensure a perfect seal. When that bolt gets tightened down, it creates a one of a kind seal to the oil pan that cannot be reset perfectly as the washer is already compressed. Not replacing the crush washer is one of the most common causes of an oil leak, which can cause a catastrophic engine failure. Scheduling your service with Hyundai of Greeley will ensure you never go without and get your new crush washer correctly installed.
